Welcome

CFIS is home to 56 tenure-stream faculty members; over 140 research associates, postdoctoral fellows, adjunct professors, visiting faculty and scholars, lecturers, and limited-term professors; and over 200 faculty associate members.

CFIS is a steward for interdisciplinary research at UBC and home to more than 80 faculty members and directors, with hundreds of affiliated researchers in 35 interdisciplinary schools, institutes, centres, colleges, and graduate degree programs.

Over half of our tenure-stream faculty members hold joint academic appointments in two or more units. Of these joint appointments, over 2/3rds are between CFIS and another UBC Faculty, including the Faculties of Arts, Medicine, Science, Land and Food Systems, Forestry, Applied Science, Law, and the Sauder School of Business.
