Employment Equity

CFIS faculty, staff, and student employees are encouraged to complete and update the University's Employment Equity Census.

Faculty, staff, and student employees also have rights and responsibilities under the University's employment equity, and discrimination and harassment policies as listed by the UBC Equity Office.

Respectful Environment

The President distributed the Respectful Environment Statement in 2008 as part of the University's Focus on People initiave.

Further resources and training on conflict management and intercultural communication are provided by the UBC Equity Office, the MOST Program, and UBC's Centre for Intercultural Communication (through Continuing Studies).
